Christmas 2011
I enjoy making beaded icicles to put on my Christmas tree and give to family and friends. I have made over 3000+ of these beaded icicles. I have about 400 of them on my Christmas tree this year.

Vertigo
Vertigo
"Vertigo" is my challenge piece for the Out of the Block group that I'm a member of in Northern Virginia. It had to be a piece representing cool or hot. I chose to do a cool piece. I fused aqua/blue fabrics and cut the individual crescent pieces and sewed them on individually. When I finished, I couldn't tell if I was looking up at the sky or down at the water, so I felt vertigo. This piece is 18" x 18" and was completed in September 2008.

Hot Summer days
Saturday, June 30, 2007
Besides loving gardening, I am also an avid quilt artist, crafter, woodworker, collector, organizer and all round "jack of all trades".
I love the beach, even thou I live a few hours from the ocean. I have been exploring the water quilt theme in a few of my recent fiber pieces. here is a little favorite of mine, that is no longer in my possession. I had it on display at "Quiet waters" in the Annapolis, Md. area and it was the only piece that was stolen. I was heartsick. Friends tried to comfort me by saying that it was the one that stood out and was loved the best. This happened a few years back and I still miss this little quilt so very much.
Birdie's Bits and Pieces
A little birdie told me to land here and scatter pieces of adventure. Tomorrow is July 1, 2007 and time to fly to a new adventure. I have planned many thing to accomplish this month and projects to finish ( this means deadlines to meet too). Since this is my first entry at this site, it might take me a while to get accustomed to the ins and outs of this space.
The yard and gardens are in transition and I have hopes to make a transformation this summer. I love the hot , humid weather in my area and am ready to soar. This is a photo of the Lord Baltimore Hibiscus that is growing in my side yard. It is very inspiring and beautiful.
